I am an applied microtheorist. My work sits at the intersection of Political Economy, Development Economics and Inequality, with a focus on Electoral competition and Structural Violence. A central question in my work concerns the relationship between elite capture and clientelism in lower tiers of democratic governance. I complement theoretical work with structural estimation techniques brining empirical disicpline to the mechanisms the theory identifies.
I am advised by Prof. Sayantan Ghosal and Prof. Yiannis Vailakis.
